Remembering Renal Patients

Former patients of the University Hospital of North Staffordshire's Renal Unit will be remembered at a special service in the hospital's City General Chapel on Sunday 17th May at 1.30pm.

The service will be led by hospital chaplain Rev. Leo Varquez and staff from the Renal Directorate. Everyone who wishes to attend will be given a warm welcome, with tea, coffee and biscuits provided afterwards.

Patients suffering from kidney problems, along with their families and friends, often form long and close relationships with the staff caring for them at the hospital, so when a patient dies the staff offer support to those left behind.

Twice a year the "Light of Life" service is held at the hospital and family and friends of patients who have passed away in the previous twelve to eighteen months are invited to take part.
