Roadshow Heads to Leek

University Hospital staff are heading to Leek as part of their Big Conversation campaign.

The Trust has set-up the Big Conversations to discuss how patients and the public can get involved in developments at the hospital.   The latest conversation will focus on how University Hospital can become 'An Accountable Hospital' and takes place at Leek Council Rooms on Monday 5 October.

Mike Brereton, University Hospital Chairman, believes it is vital hospital bosses listen to the public face to face.

He said: "Hundreds of thousands of people rely on University Hospital every year for medical care. We need to find out just how accountable the public want us to be and how much information they want. Each and every one of them will have an opinion about the care they receive but many will simply keep their thoughts quietly to themselves. This Big Conversation will give patients and the general public the chance to sit down with myself and members of my staff to tell us what really matters to them."

The event takes place at Leek Council Rooms, Leek District Council, Moorlands House. The discussion starts at 10am but people are welcome to join us for coffee from 9.30am. Anyone who wishes to attend can contact 01782 555577 or simply turn up on the day.
