The on-site team

Laing O’Rourke Group has over 100 members of staff working across the HUB and Wards sites, with the Maternity and Oncology buildings completed and opened in 2009. 

The teams are based in the site offices located within each of the construction areas.

The team is made up of 3 companies from the Laing O’Rourke Group: Laing O’Rourke Construction, Crown House Technologies and Expanded; in conjunction with the design team consisting of HKS Architects and WSP Engineers who are designing the structure and the services.

On the North Staffordshire Hospitals Project, Laing O’Rourke is responsible for the design and construction of the overall scheme. The design has gone through a rigorous process of evaluation and consultation with the various departments within the hospital to ensure that the new facilities meet the Trust’s requirements.

Using the most advanced technology both in the construction process and the mechanical and electrical fit out, the project team are able to build a state of the art hospital whilst maintaining a safe environment for its workforce and the staff and visitors of the existing hospital.
