Referral guidance 

Referral to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire's bariatric surgical service must be made via your General Practitioner (GP). Your GP will advise you in the first instance as to the appropriateness of surgical assessment. Once a referral is accepted, patients will enter our fully integrated bariatric surgical pathway. The pathway encompasses a wide range of expertise, from our lead bariatric surgeons and endocrinologists to our expertly trained dieticians and clinical psychologists. Please contact your local General Practitioner for advice in the first instance.
