Your surgery pathway 

Visiting your GP is the first step towards bariatric surgery. If you have been seen by your GP, and you have met the clinical requirements for bariatric surgery, you will be referred to the Trust. You will then be asked to attend the Joint Bariatric Clinic. This is the start of your surgery pathway. Please see the diagram below to map out how your treatment might progress. (Note - it is possible that another service within the NHS or social service will ask or you to be seen at the Joint Bariatric Clinic)
