Bone cancer

The bone cancer service provides an initial assessment of patients who may have a sarcoma.  If necessary, they may also make an urgent referral to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham for diagnosis and treatment.

No treatment is undertaken prior to this referral. Treatment such as chemotherapy may be undertaken under a shared care agreement with the team at Birmingham.
