Haemophilia and blood disorders
What is haemophilia?
Haemophilia is a blood disorder in which an essential clotting factor is either partly or completely missing. This causes a person with haemophilia to bleed for longer than normal.
Haemophilia at University Hospital

University Hospital is a recognised haemophilia centre.
-
We have a dedicated triage bay available 24 hours to haemophilia patients when they present with bleeds.

We have genetic counsellors, who offer support to patients and their families.
-
We are developing a home delivery service which allows patients quick and easy access to their treatments.
-
Our Clinical Lead and Centre Director Dr Chandra will discuss in detail your case and what line of treatment is best for you.
