Human Resources

The Human Resources function is divided into a number of areas:

Divisional Human Resources Teams
They provide advice, guidance, training and support to managers and staff on policy and procedure and employment law issues to ensure good employment relation issues within the hospital.

Medical Staffing
The team in Medical Staffing deal with all Medical Staffing Recruitment for the Trust, they organise the interviews, the panels, set up the files and deal with all the issues that arise in relation to the Medical Staff that are in post within the Trust.

Healthcare Skills Academy
The Healthcare Careers and Skills Academy has been set up through collaboration with between the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, Advantage West Midlands, North Staffordshire Regeneration Zone, Stoke On Trent College, Skills for Health, Jobcentre Plus and the Learning and Skills Council.

The Academy offers access to training, access to employment and careers advice to support new, existing and future employees.

Workforce Planning Team
The workforce planning team deal with all the statistical work related to Human Resources. They provide information on areas such as Attendance, Starters and Leavers etc and also link in to external bodies i.e. The Department of Health to provide them with any information that is required.

Staff Support
Staff Support provides a confidential service that is available to all staff. The team are all qualified and trained counsellors who are there to support any member of staff or management. Everything that is discussed is confidential. Managers cannot do any referrals to the Staff Support team neither will they release any information to third parties.
