What is the Health Library for North Staffordshire?
The Health Library for North Staffordshire is situated within the Clinical Education Centre on the City General site, overlooking the A34.
In partnership with Keele University and all the NHS Trusts in North Staffordshire, it serves all staff working with or for the NHS in North Staffordshire, and staff and students of Keele University's Health Faculty.
Services
There is a wealth of resources available at the library, with services briefly comprising:Book stock of approximately 35,000 volumes. E-books are also available - these are accessible 24/7 from work or home.

Journal collection of approximately 500 titles. E-journals are also available - these are accessible 24/7 from work or home.

Items not available in the library can usually be obtained on inter-library request.

Access to the major healthcare databases, including Medline, Cinahl, Embase and AMED. Training is available in how to search the databases. The librarians can also do literature searches on your behalf.

Training: A variety of free training courses are available. There is a dedicated training suite within the Health Library, but library staff can also visit wards and departments.

T facilities, including 60 networked PC's, all with Internet access and Microsoft Office XP, and printing and scanning facilities

NHS Outreach Library Service for staff based in the community.
