Each year we care for over 600,000 people who come to us for emergency treatment, planned operations and medical care. We are a teaching hospital in partnership with Keele University and we have a patient-centred clinical research facility providing state-of-the-art facilities. Our new 370 million pound hospital is under construction and will be fully operational in 2012.

PIP breast implants NOT used at University Hospital

The national media are currently covering a story about PIP breast implants manufactured in France and a report on them has been commissioned by the government. We would like to reassure patients of University Hospital that PIP implants are not used and have not been used here. Our surgeons use NAGOR implants that are manufactured in the UK.
